While the event has historically taken place in August, the 2025 edition of the Nantucket Show of antiques, art and design moves to July for a mid-summer celebration of some of the very best in historic antiquities. An international roster of 26 exhibitors from across the United States, England and Europe will present their wares during this year’s show, including American furniture and folk art, English and Continental furniture, traditional and contemporary art, sculpture, jewelry and other captivating objects.

Mary Cassatt (1844-1926), Heads of Reine and Margot, ca. 1902. Pastel counterproof on Japan paper, 251/8 x 20½ in. Courtesy Cavalier Galleries.

Among the dealers in attendance at the 2025 show are Roberto Freitas American Antiques and Decorative Arts, David Brooker Fine Art, James Butterworth Antique American Wicker, Silver Art by D & R, William Cook, Finnegan Gallery and many more. Cavalier Galleries will be bringing works by prominent artists like Mary Cassatt, Ernest Lawson, Milton Avery and Ernie Barnes.

The Antiques Council—a professional association of art and antique dealers that mandates the highest ethical and professional standards—has been organizing antiques shows in historic Nantucket for more than three decades. Council members, of which there are more than 50 across North America and Europe, are selected by their peers for the quality of their wares, as well as their expertise and integrity.

Over the years, these events have become iconic summer staples on the idyllic Massachusetts island. This year’s Nantucket Show will once again return to Bartlett’s Farm, a seventh-generation family farm. The Nantucket Show will open on Friday July 18, with a “Preview Morning” from 9 to 10:30 a.m. benefiting the Nantucket Historical Association. The opening also coincides with the association’s nationally recognized Nantucket by Design week, and continues over the weekend through Monday, July 21.
