“We have the same quality dealers and merchandise as we have had from the beginning 18 years ago,” says show manager Diana Bittel. “These are exceptional dealers with outstanding material brought together for a summer show in an impressive, historical area. For a supposedly ‘laid back’ event, this show includes many of the best dealers in their fields, and they are coming from all over because the collectors and visitors are a sophisticated and knowledgeable group…They are supportive and interested in what these dealers are offering.”
This year’s show is open to the public on July 25 and 26, and will feature 30 exhibitors, including returning favorites and new additions offering a diverse array of fine art, antiques and furniture. New to the 2026 show are Spiral Haus of San Francisco; Three Graces Antiques of St. Petersburg, Florida; and Dinan & Chighine of London. Longtime exhibitors like Rehs Galleries, Arader Galleries, David Brooker Fine Art, Gladwell & Patterson, Guarisco Gallery, Glen A. Leroux and others will also be showcasing a selection of fine art and objects.

Another long-time exhibitor, Stonington, Connecticut-based dealer Roberto Freitas American Antiques & Decorative Arts is a prominent fixture at antique and fine art shows around the country. Among the highlights the owner, Roberto Freitas, will be bringing to the show this year, is an 1880 maritime painting by Ralph Cahoon Jr. (1910-1982) titled July 4th Race of the Crosby Cats. Another special offering is a Queen Anne mahogany tray-top table from the Goddard-Townsend School of Newport, Rhode Island, circa 1740-60.
The Newport Show kicks off with a ticketed Gala Preview Party on Friday, July 24 at 6 p.m., with general admission hours on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Proceeds from The Newport Show and opening night party benefit the Newport Historical Society and Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County. The event has raised more than $4.75 million for the nonprofits since the show’s inception in 2017.

“As we approach the 20th anniversary of The Newport Show, this wonderful event continues to grow in reach and impact,” says Anne Hamilton, the event’s chair. “It is an opportunity for serious collectors to discover new treasures, for community members to explore historic artifacts and antiques, and for all our guests to support two valued nonprofits.” —
