The Chrysler Museum of Art has appointed Caroline Culp as the new Brock curator of American art. This role oversees the collection of American art created before 1945, one of the museum’s key areas of focus with substantial holdings of early American portraiture, Hudson River School landscape painting and an extensive collection of neoclassical marble sculpture.

The Norton Museum of Art has appointed Lisa Mazzola as the William Randolph Hearst Chief Officer of Learning and Community Engagement. Mazzola joins the Norton from the AIA New York | Center for Architecture, where she served as director of education. She also held positions at the Museum of Modern Art and Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian National Design Museum.

After more than three years as executive director at the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, executive director Henrietta Lidchi will be leaving the museum in mid 2026 to assume a directorial role at a major museum in Europe. Under her leadership, the Wheelwright Museum emerged from the pandemic as a reenergized organization more aligned with a new vision of honoring Native voices through art and appointing a new team of professionals to build on the innovative programming of New Mexico’s oldest independent museum. —
