The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University has recently established the Waldron Family Associate Curator, an endowed position created to ensure the museum’s historical collections remain a dynamic and integral part of its curatorial mission. The position is held by Katherine Werwie, who oversees the museum’s historical collections and leads innovative efforts to connect these works with contemporary art by underrepresented artists.

Global arts organization Frieze introduces new leadership for EXPO CHICAGO, with the appointments of Kate Sierzputowski as director and Essence Harden as the fair’s curator. As director, Sierzputowski will guide EXPO CHICAGO’s overall vision, leading gallery relations, collector engagement and curatorial initiatives, while Harden will play an integral role in shaping all aspects of the fair’s identity as well as curating a section and collaborating on programming. Tony Karman will continue as president of EXPO CHICAGO, serving in an advisory capacity.

Jessica Levin Martinez, Richard J. Schwartz Director of the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University, has been appointed the next president and executive director of the Corning Museum of Glass. Martinez will succeed Karol Wight, who announced her retirement in April 2025, and will assume her role at CMoG on February 2.
