Sharon Young has been elected Chairman of the 2025-2026 Board of Trustees at the Dallas Art Museum in Dallas, Texas. Currently co-chair of the DMA’s Executive Director Search Committee, Young joins Gowri Natarajan Sharma, who will continue as president of the board, and Sheryl-Adkins Green, vice president on the board’s leadership team.
The Museum of the City of New York has appointed Elisabeth Sherman as the new Robert A. and Elizabeth Rohn Jeffe Chief Curator and Deputy Director, effective September 8. In this role, Sherman will join the museum’s leadership team and oversee curatorial, exhibitions, public programs, education and the museum’s collection of 750,000 objects.
The Speed Art Museum recently announced that Raphaela Platow, executive director since 2021, will conclude her tenure at the museum later this year. —
