Featuring close to 200 lots, Shannon’s online Fine Art Auction will offer quality examples of affordable American Art with most lots estimated below $3,000. Highlights include an oil on board by William J. Kaula titled Home in the Hills, which has an estimate of $800 to $1,200; and a bronze of a lion by William M. McVey, estimated to sell between $1,000 and $1,500.

Santa Fe Art Auction’s Art of the West sale will feature an exceptional selection of Western artwork that celebrates the region’s rich heritage. Sharp’s 1896 landscape Amsterdam Canal Scene, among the highlights in the upcoming auction, has a presale estimate of $6,000 to $9,000.

Spring Fine Art Auction
On Saturday, May 10, Grogan & Company will offer over 200 American paintings in their annual Spring Fine Art Auction. Highlights of the sale include works by Milton Avery, John Marin, Marguerite Zorach, Alice Baber, George Inness and James Edward Buttersworth. The auction concludes with a private collection of 19th-century views of Jerusalem by noted American artists, including James Fairman and Edward Melrose. The auction exhibition will take place at the firm’s Boston gallery from May 5 to 10.
