A major facet of New York’s art scene since its founding in 1994, The Armory Show’s influence and reach is massive. From September 9 to 11, the fair returns to the Javits Center for three days of thought-provoking programming, top curatorial leadership and engaging art presentations. This year, the show will include more than 240 galleries across over 30 countries.

The major New York art fair initiates conversations in multiple avenues across the art world, from its Curatorial Leadership Summit, to Armory Live (a year-round program of conversations highlighting influential members of the international art community—hosted at the fair, online and throughout New York City).

Among the historic arts programming at the 2022 show is a solo presentation of 20th-century painter Grace Hartigan’s genre-defining abstract expressionist art, held by ACA Galleries in New York. Additionally, Larkin Erdmann will present historic works by abstract powerhouse Josef Albers and mixed media works by Man Ray.

“We look forward to burnishing our reputation as a cornerstone of New York’s cultural landscape,” says Nicole Berry, executive director of The Armory Show.

A VIP opening preview will be held September 8.
