FOG Design + Art returns to the Golden Gate City for its seventh annual fair from January 16 to 19.

Known for its boutique feel, the 2020 rendition of FOG will feature 48 galleries from around the world.

“This year we are excited to be returning to our roots and presenting a smaller roster of dealers than we did last year,” says Steering Committee member Susan Swig. “We like to think of it as a highly curated fair.”The seventh annual FOG Design + Art will take place at the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture.

“We will have a mixture of more well known as well as lesser known galleries from around the world, presenting both blue chip contemporary artists as well as younger emerging artists,” says Swig. “We are thrilled with the work and curated booths that we anticipate our galleries will bring. This year’s fair also includes a vibrant roster of 12 talks and panels throughout the fair. Swig, who organizes the panel programming, says the speakers will be discussing “...everything from their own work, to panels about tech and art, to housing and design, to art, food and design and [their] interplay.”

She adds, “We have an incredible lineup of speakers this year and are excited to touch on some of the topics that are relevant to both San Francisco and beyond. Our lineup includes conversations that look at pressing social issues such as pioneering solutions to end global homelessness through 3D printed communities; discussions with leading figures in the design world, including a conversation with architects Tatiana Bilbao and Marshall Brown about community building within urban settings; and talks by major international artists such as Rashaad Newsome and Simon Denny around [artificial intelligence]. Also at the fair this year, I’m excited that we will be honoring Brian Chesky, Airbnb co-founder and CEO, at this year’s Innovators Luncheon. Kicking off the fair’s festivities on January 15 is a Preview Gala in benefit the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Tickets for the 2020 FOG Design + Art are $25 per person in advance and $32 after January 15. Supporter-level tickets for the Preview Gala start at $175, while bronze, silver, gold and platinum ticket packages—which include early access—range from $1,000 to $10,000. —
